Thomas J. Devlin of Philadelphia, a pioneering particle physicist, popular professor emeritus at Rutgers University, and award-winning mentor, died 2 October 2022, of kidney disease and congestive heart failure at the Quadrangle retirement community in Haverford, Pennsylvania.
