Republican-led House could reduce science funding

NOV 05, 2010
Physics Today
New York Times : In its preelection manifesto, Pledge to America, the Republican party vowed to restore discretionary nonmilitary spending to 2008 levels. According to the American Association for the Advancement of Science, which has analyzed the pledge’s implications agency by agency, NSF would be hit especially hard, losing 19% or $1 billion.
