Telegraph: Much like snowflakes, the crystalized carbohydrates of popular alcoholic drinks display unique patterns. Beautiful images of such drinks as a pina colada, margarita, and daiquiri have been created by a company called BevShots, founded by Lester Hutt. As Hutt explains, “Each image was created by using a pipette of each particular drink and squeezing a drop onto a slide. Then the droplets are allowed to dry out and the slide is placed under the microscope and a picture taken.” The incredible shapes and colors are highlighted by shining natural light on top and through the bottom of the slide.
