MOST STUDENTS IN BRITAIN who intend to become professional physicists study for a Bachelor of Science degree with honors. The undergraduate physics school at Imperial College consists almost entirely of physics majors preparing for this degree of the University of London; they devote almost all of their time to physics and the necessary required mathematics.
