SPACE.com: Representative Frank Wolf (R-VA) has voiced his opposition regarding the planned 16–21 October China visit of NASA chief Charles Bolden. In a 5 October letter to Bolden, Wolf wrote:
It should go without saying that NASA has no business cooperating with the Chinese regime on human spaceflight. China is taking an increasingly aggressive posture globally, and their interests rarely intersect with ours. The US intelligence community notes that China’s attempts to spy on US agencies are the most aggressive of all foreign intelligence organizations. China’s aerospace industry for decades has provided missile technologies and equipment to rogue regimes like Iran and North Korea.
Wolf has called for Bolden to clarify the scope of the introductory discussions scheduled to take place and for a briefing to Congress.
