SpaceX launch successful, but capsule experiences engine malfunction

As posted earlier , at 10:10am EST today, SpaceX successfully launched an unmanned Dragon resupply capsule on a Falcon 9 rocket. This is the second official resupply mission to the International Space Station performed by the company under contract with NASA. After the Dragon capsule separated from the second stage of the rocket, however, a propellant valve malfunctioned, which prevented three of the four thruster pods from operating. Although SpaceX was able to deploy the capsule’s solar panels, the capsule’s docking with the space station, which had originally been scheduled for Saturday, has been pushed back to Sunday.
