SEP 01, 2010
Physics Today
New York Times : Fourteen Nobel laureates, including three whose prize-winning work involved data gathered by NASA instruments, have joined other prominent US scientists in signing a letter supporting President Obama’s plan for space exploration. The letter was sent yesterday to Representative Bart Gordon (D-TN), the chair of the House Committee on Science and Technology. The scientists wrote the letter in response to moves in Congress to restore funding to costly manned missions at the presumed expense of unmanned science missions.
