Program: 20th Anniversary Meeting of the American Institute of Physics

The Joint Meeting of the five Founder Societies of the American Institute of Physics to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the AIP’s founding will be held in Chicago, Illinois from October 23 to 27, 1951. Most technical sessions will take place in the Hotel Sherman (Randolph and Clark Streets), although some sessions will be held at the Hotel Morrison (Clark and Madison Streets). A Joint Symposium of the Societies will be held at the Chicago Civic Opera House (Wacker Drive between Washington and Madison Streets), on Thursday, October 25. The Joint Banquet will take place in the Hotel Sherman Grand Ballroom the evening of the same day. The American Crystallographic Association, an Affiliated Society of the AIP, is also holding its Fall Meeting in connection with the AIP’s Anniversary Meeting. All those attending the meeting should register upon arrival at the registration desk in the Mezzanine of the Hotel Sherman.
