PHYSICS PROGRAMS differ widely at the 805 colleges and universities in the US that offer the subject at major level. Lists of the courses can be found in college catalogs, but where elective courses are concerned these lists give no information on the relative popularity of different subjects. Are some topics disappearing from the curriculum? Are there differences between programs at small and large institutions?
