Richard Fitzgerald joined the staff of Physics Today in 1998 as an associate editor and served as the longtime managing editor before becoming Editor-in-Chief in 2022.
He earned his bachelor’s in physics from Princeton University and received a PhD in physics from Harvard University. His scientific background is in superconductivity, nanoelectronics, and atomics physics.
