Washington Academy Awards

Physics Today

Awards for scientific achievement were recently presented to two American Physical Society members by the Washington Academy of Sciences. George A. Snow of the University of Maryland received the award for physical sciences for “outstanding research on the fundamental properties of elementary particles”. George M. Koehl of George Washington University was given a teaching of science award for “sustained excellence in teaching the beauty and order of physics”.
