UK and France sign nuclear cooperation deal

FEB 17, 2012
Physics Today
BBC : This week the UK and France signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation in the development of civil nuclear energy. In the wake of Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster less than a year ago, both countries have pledged to work more closely in such areas as education and training, R&D, and security. The deal was signed at a summit in Paris between the UK’s prime minister David Cameron and French president Nicolas Sarkozy. “As two great civil nuclear nations, we will combine our expertise to strengthen industrial partnership, improve nuclear safety and create jobs at home,” said Cameron.
