Officers elected by the Metropolitan Section of the American Physical Society for 1949–50 are as follows: J. B. Johnson, president; W. W. Havens, Jr., vice‐president; I. Fankuchen, secretary‐treasurer; O. S. Duffendack and Y. Beers, committee members. The election was held at the sixteenth annual meeting of the section at Murray Hill, N.J. on March 25.
