Quantum teleportation distance record broken again

Space.com : Just months after Chinese researchers achieved a record of 97 km for quantum teleportation , an international effort teleported quantum state information 143 km between two of the Canary Islands. Both groups used entangled photons and performed the experiment across water surfaces to reduce atmospheric interference. The technology could possibly be used for a quantum internet or for communications with satellites.
