Pyramid probing with cosmic‐ray muons

An experimental search of the interior of the two large pyramids at Giza will use cosmic ray muons. The United Arab Republic and the US have recently signed an agreement to cosponsor this “Joint UAR‐USA Pyramid Project,” which came into being as a result of a suggestion by Luis W. Alvarez in a Lawrence Radiation Laboratory internal report written in early 1965.
