REQUESTS for information about foreign research laboratories, educational institutions, and scientific organizations are frequently received by the American Institute of Physics from physicists who are planning to travel abroad. In view of the increasing interest shown in such matters, the Institute has issued an Information Booklet on Physics Organizations Abroad which contains some 140 addresses in 25 different countries (including, wherever possible, the names of individual scientists or officials who may be contacted in the various organizations, telephone numbers, and brief descriptive notes on the interests and activities of the institutions mentioned).
