Pegram Medal

This past January, on the twenty‐fifth anniversary of his uranium fission experiment of 1939, John R. Dunning was awarded the first George B. Pegram Medal of the Columbia Engineering School Alumni Association. The award paid tribute to his pioneering accomplishments in atomic research. Dr. Dunning is currently dean of Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.
