THE Soviet journal Optika i Spektroskopiia is now being translated on a regular basis and distributed (together with the Journal of the Optical Society of America) to all members of the Optical Society. Under a grant to the Society from the National Science Foundation, the translation from Russian into English is being done by Morris D. Friedman, Inc., and the translated journal is printed for the OSA by the Blackburn Printing Co., Concord, Mass., under the title Optics and Spectroscopy.
