Physics Today

The National Science Foundation has awarded grants this year worth more than a half‐million dollars under its science teaching equipment development program. The grants are designed to aid in the development of new pieces of laboratory equipment required by teachers to keep pace with the increased emphasis on fundamental research and the discovery of new scientific concepts and techniques.
