Senator J. William Fulbright, author of the educational exchange act that bears his name, has indicated in a recent radio interview that ultimately the Fulbright Program should be broadened to include the Soviet Union and other Communist countries. Conceding that prospects for such an expansion of the program are not too hopeful just now, Fulbright said he thought it would be a good idea to provide students and teachers from Communist nations with an opportunity to see for themselves what the democratic system is like.
