The Education Department of the American Institute of Physics has named Mrs. Susanne D. Ellis as supervisor of the AIP’s Manpower Studies program. The project, which is partially supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation, is engaged in collecting data pertaining to education, employment, and financial support in physics, analyzing and evaluating such data, and publishing reports on the results. In May, 1964, the project published the second edition of its statistical handbook Physics: Education, Employment, and Financial Support.
