The first issue of The Physics Teacher, a new publication intended for high‐school teachers of physics, is scheduled to appear next month. Published by the American Association of Physics Teachers with the support of a grant from the National Science Foundation, the new journal will be distributed free to about 16 000 high‐school physics teachers, to school libraries, and to members of the AAPT who request it. Its editor is J. W. Buchta, professor of physics and dean of the College of Science, Literature, and the Arts of the University of Minnesota and newly appointed executive secretary of the AAPT.
