The Centro per lo studio della Fisica Nucleare e delle particelle elementari, of the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, has recently built a small laboratory in the Alps for the investigation of cosmic radiation. This laboratory, now named “Laboratorio della Testa Grigia,” is situated at an altitude of almost 11,500 feet, near the upper station of the cable railway which climbs from the village of Breuil‐Cervinia to Plateau Rosà.
