India set to sign arms deals with France and Russia

Guardian : Indian defense officials expect to finalize arms contracts worth tens of billions of dollars with France and Russia later this month. Over the next five years, India plans to upgrade its military, including weapons systems, technology, planes, ships, and submarines in order to keep pace with its neighbor China. A number of Western nations have sought to cut such lucrative deals with India because of the current depressed economy.
