Talking Points Memo : According to the 2012 report of the UK-based Carbon Disclosure Project , companies around the world are beginning to recognize the negative impact that climate change could have on their business and are taking steps to mitigate it and reduce their carbon footprint. Although most appear to be favoring shorter-term cost-cutting measures over investing in longer-term carbon-reduction methods, a few companies are taking the lead despite lack of leadership from world governments.
