Physics Today

THE George Ledlie Prize, top faculty award of A Harvard University, was presented on April 11 to George B. Kistiakowsky, professor of chemistry at Harvard and former special assistant for science and technology to President Eisenhower. The award was established by the late George Ledlie, newspaper executive and associate of Joseph Pulitzer. Given every two years, it recognizes the individual at Harvard who has made “the most valuable contribution to science, or in any way for the benefit of mankind”.
