Franklin Institute medals

Physics Today

Frederick Seitz, president of the National Academy of Sciences, was awarded the Franklin Medal, the Franklin Institute’s highest honor, during annual medal day ceremonies on October 20th. Dr. Seitz was recognized both for his contributions in solid‐state physics and his service as a leader of science.
