THE AAPT‐AIP Project on the Design of Physics Buildings has announced the availability of a 192‐page illustrated book entitled Selected Reprints of Articles on Physics Buildings, which consists of articles from architectural and building magazines and from the American Journal of Physics on planning physics buildings, teaching and industrial laboratories, lecture rooms, and related subjects. The book is intended to assist those faced with immediate problems in programming and planning for new physics teaching and research facilities. More basic information will be forthcoming next year when the project staff completes its 18‐month independent study, which will be based on inspections and interviews with physics teachers, architects, engineers, school administrators, and building maintenance men throughout the US. Selected Reprints of Articles on Physics Buildings (priced at $2 per copy, with checks to be made out to the American Institute of Physics) can be ordered by writing to the Project on Design of Physics Buildings, American Institute of Physics, 335 East 45th Street, New York 17, N.Y.
