An interdisciplinary program leading to a doctoral degree in plasma research is being offered by Columbia University. Course and laboratory work in the scientific and engineering aspects of plasma research in the Departments of Physics, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, and Applied Mathematics will be provided under the program.
