Chair of House subcommittee on basic research vows to hold climate hearings

Science : Mo Brooks (R-AL), the chair of the House subcommittee that oversees the research budgets of the Department of Energy, NASA, NIST, NOAA, and NSF, has pledged to hold hearings on the science for and against anthropogenic climate change. In a wide-ranging Q&A with Science‘s Jeffrey Mervis, Brooks also discussed immigration policy, earmarks for basic research, and the necessity of reducing the federal budget deficit.
