Balloon‐Borne Telescope Sees An X‐Ray Flare in Sco X‐l

An unexpected and very intense x‐ray flare has been detected from the x‐ray star Sco X‐l in the constellation of Scorpio. Walter H. G. Lewin, George W. Clark and William B. Smith of MIT reported the experiment in The Astrophysical Journal 152, L55, 1968.
