On this day in 1968 the astronauts aboard the Apollo 7 mission made a live TV broadcast from space. Apollo 7 was the first manned test of the rocket, service module and command module that would be used the following year for the mission to the Moon. This fascinating 15-minute video describes the many tests -- of astronauts, equipment and ground crew -- that ensured that Apollo 11 was a success.
