JUN 01, 1960
Physics Today

COMPLETE reference coverage of all papers reporting research in acoustics which were published during the ten‐year period from 1949 through 1958 will be included in the third Decennial Index of the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America. Prepared by the Society with the aid of a grant from the National Science Foundation, the Index will be available for distribution in the latter part of 1960. It will contain cumulative subject and author listings of all papers published in the Journal during that period as well as some 13 500 references to contemporary papers on acoustics published in other periodicals throughout the world. The Index will also include inventor, subject, and numerical references to the approximately 4000 acoustical patents reviewed in the Journal during the years 1949–58.
