200‐BeV machine—design study

Physics Today

The Atomic Energy Commission has published a preliminary design study for the proposed 200‐billion‐electronvolt proton accelerator. Although the study was done at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory, the designers had no specific site in mind, and their determinations are billed as applicable to any location.
