Karl T. Compton

Karl T. Compton, chairman of the corporation of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and former chairman of the American Institute of Physics governing board (1931–36), died in New York Hospital on June 22nd following a heart attack that had occurred a week earlier while he was visiting in New York City.
